Black moon rising is a sequel to my project Jellyfish in the sky.
The projects arise from my desire to give the unpredictable and alienating world of dreams more reason to exist.
This imaginary world that originates in the subconscious has always fascinated me.
It is as if we are living in a different dimension during a dream, a parallel world. And we are only aware of it at the illusive moment between sleeping and waking.
The content and purpose of dreams are still not fully understood,
but we do know that dreams are even more capricious and delusional in times of crises and stress.
Could it be our brain’s way of coping with everyday struggles and realities?
Maybe it is part of the magic that we don’t have a full explanation?
Because it might just be as Dali’s quote;
“When we are asleep in this world, we are awake in another” ?
What if we could meet in our dreams?
